FAQs - The Terms

  • Our van rental is £105.00 (inc VAT) per day during off-peak and £126.00 (inc VAT) during peak season.

    The daily charge is applicable regardless of the time you pick up or drop off the vehicle.

    Additionally, an accidental damage security deposit applies to all hires. (This is paid separately from your hire fee)

    Security deposit = £750.00

  • Peak season runs from the 1st of April until the 30th of September.

  • 50% of the total hire cost is payable to secure your booking. This can be paid through our ‘Book a Trip’ page and paid securely online, this is non-refundable. We will send you a payment link to complete the payment 14 days prior to your trip.

    If you make a booking for dates that are less than 14 days away you be sent a request for the balance immediately after confirming your booking.

    The security deposit must be paid separately, via bank transfer, within 24 hours of collection.

  • Our prices include insurance!

    Hirers must be over the age of 25 and under 75 and have held a UK licence for a minimum of 2 years.

    You must have no more than 6 points on your driving licence. Two, 3 point convictions are acceptable (i.e. 2x SP30’s, 3pts each) Single 4 point offences are acceptable. Single 6 point offences are subject to referral to our insurer - please contact us before booking. You must have no more than one fault or outstanding insurance incident/claim in the last three years.

    You'll need to be able to provide two up to date proofs of address and a DVLA licence check will be carried out.

  • Our insurance covers UK travel. We allow 200 miles per day, and any mileage above this is charged at 0.45ppm. Don’t forget: mileage accrues each day you’re parked up/camped, so a 4 day trip allows for 800 miles of use.

  • Our insurance policy includes UK breakdown cover, European breakdown cover would need to be added separately. Please contact us to discuss this.

  • We’re open for collection from 11am and drop off until 4pm, Monday to Friday. Collections and drop-offs on the weekend can be arranged (dependant on our availability) please contact us before booking.

    During the collection, we’ll need around an hour together to finalise your hire terms and give you a tour of the van. Please arrive no later than 4pm on returning the van, as we’ll need around the same time to do the handover.

    We have fully secured premises with CCTV and 24 hour security monitoring, allowing you to park your car, at no charge, for the duration of hire. Owners cars are left entirely at their own risk.

    Hiring through a third-party is typically more expensive, our rates are the same but third-parties charge a service fee which the hirer (you) pay! it will usually be less expensive for the hirer to hire from us directly. Hiring through a third-party sometimes offers flexible options to pay a reduced security deposit, but there is a daily charge (non-refundable) for this. Feel free to contact us to discuss the booking method that suits your circumstances best.

  • We do not allow hire trips to festivals. This is a decision we have taken having previously allowed festival trips, and incurring significant damage to our van, usually due to getting stuck in muddy fields! Bookings made with festival plans will be cancelled and returned immediately. Our van is fitted with a tracker, anyone found to have visited a festival whilst on hire, will lose their security deposit, in full.

 FAQs - The Van

  • Our van is fitted with captain’s style, front swivel seats and a Rock & Roll twin seat in the rear, allowing for four passengers/guests. When it comes to bedtime, the rear seats pull out into a double and we have a scenic pop-top to allow for sleeping space in the roof - this is ideally suited to one adult or two children. (max weight limit 200kgs)

  • Fridge, sink with cold running water, double gas hob, 69Ltr water tank, night heater, projector with roll down screen (this can be used with your own streaming apps) hand-held shower (with hot water!) out the rear doors - ideal for cleaning off your boots, a muddy pooch or yourself if you’re partial to an outdoor shower!

    The van is a manual gearbox, diesel engine T28. It is fitted with a full touch screen Kenwood stereo system with Apple and Android carplay (Instantly access your own music, handsfree phone, contacts, maps with traffic, whatsapp and other apps, remotely from the van stereo)

    The van is fitted with leisure battery and 240v site hook-up, along with a 200W Solar system, making the van ideal for off-grid adventures. 3-pin plug sockets and USB charging points. All the living area windows are privacy glass with internal blinds, we have thermal window blinds for the cab area and the exterior is equipped with a Fiamma F45 wind out canopy/awning.

    Kitchen equipment - frying pan, saucepan, kettle, a range of cooking utensils, tea towels, cutlery and plates, mugs/glasses a flask and picnic rucksack.

    The van is kitted out with hook-up cable, Bluetooth portable speaker, food grade water hose, First Aid kit, emergency tyre repair kit, Fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide sensor.

    We can include table and two chairs and a bike rack (4 bikes) these incur an additional charge, these can be added at the check-out.

  • Being dog lovers ourselves, we get that they’re part of the family too! We allow for one small dog, this is subject to our discretion and incurs an additional £60.00 (Inc. VAT) cleaning cost. This can be added at the checkout but we do ask that you contact us before booking.

  • We supply kitchen equipment (plates/cups/cutlery) a small frying pan and saucepan, a camping kettle for the stove, a full gas bottle, and an air mattress (ideal for the pop-top or can be used on the pull out bed if there’s only two guests)

    The only thing you need is your own bedding, food and anything else that makes you feel at home!
